God a call from PaulP at about 2.30 claiming to be my fairy godmother - which in a way he was. Told me it was blowing, but big kit weather. Zoomed down to the beach to find people moaning that they were overpowered on their 6.5s. Then I saw the size of them (a good few kg lighter than me) so I went 6.5 and Syncro and had a ball.

Slight drama when Paul's sail pinged off the top of his mast, so lots of rallying round to get him back. Happened once the wind had peaked, so he didn't miss much. Really amazed to have got 2 hours of lovely sailing in the sun. Maybe tomorrow too?
